HOW TO MAKE A GIFT

Since 1972, when Trumbull Nursery Center was founded as a Mission of the Long Hill UMC, volunteers have been instrumental in establishing and supporting the operations of the Center. This tradition of giving has helped the school to further its mission “to foster early childhood development and a love for learning.”

In support of this mission, our Development Office helps facilitate both annual and long-term fundraising for the school. The school conducts an Annual Fund campaign, undertakes capital campaigns for larger needs, holds special events, annually solicits for our Library Fund, and investigates new funding sources to ensure our school’s financial future.

Your ongoing philanthropic support enables TNC to continue to serve our children and helps us to continue to welcome diverse families to our community.

Thank you for your gifts of time and financial resources – our school is better because of your generosity!

Unrestricted gifts are among the most valuable to TNC, because they allow the school to direct resources where they are most necessary. Your unrestricted contribution will allow us to allocate funds to student scholarships, teacher workshop programs, technology, academic and extracurricular programs.

If you prefer, you may choose to designate your contribution to support a specific program, music, arts, a named scholarship, or various school programs. When you make a gift to TNC, you have tremendous flexibility in determining how the funds will be used, as well as options for making your gift.

Outright gifts can be made by cash, personal checks, or money orders made payable to TNC Foundation, Inc.

Pledges: TNC welcomes your gift through a pledge - a formal statement of intention to make a gift to the school. With a pledge, you may complete your gift by making regular payments over time, allowing you to give more generously than you originally may have considered.

Matching Gift programs are an easy way to double or even triple your contribution to TNC. Such programs typically match all or a percentage of employee contributions to charitable organizations. Check with your Human Resources department for the necessary forms.

Gifts of appreciated securities are a popular alternative to cash gifts. In addition to receiving a charitable income tax deduction for the full market value of your gift, you may also bypass capital gains tax on the appreciation.
